8. FM RADIO RECEPTION

7.7 Playing saved DAB/DAB+ stations

If you are not already in DAB mode, press the DAB/FM button until DAB mode appears in the display.

Press the 'Preset' button. The first saved station will be displayed.

Turn the 'Tune' knob to display your desired stored station (1-30). Press the Select button (7). The
radio selects the saved station and begins to play it.
PLEASE NOTE!
If no DAB/DAB+ station has been saved to the memory slot,
the display will show 'memory slot X empty'. After a few seconds, the display
will return to the previous station.

7.8 DAB/DAB+ display information

If you have saved a DAB/DAB+ station, you can change the information shown in the second row of the
display yourself. Seven types of information are provided by the station.
1.
Press the 'Info' button repeatedly to switch between display options
Dynamic Label Segment (DLS):
This is a text with information provided by the station. This may include the name of the artist or song title, DJ
name, radio station contact details etc.
Programme type (PTY):
Such as 'rock', 'pop', 'talk' or 'news'
Multiplex name:
This shows the station's area as well as a selection of radio stations on this frequency e.g. BBC National
DAB, Digital 1 Network.
Signal strength:
An empty display in the second row indicates the minimum signal
strength required for an acceptable listening experience. The row of shaded rectangles shows the actual
strength of the incoming signal. The stronger the signal, the further right the row of rectangles extends.
Time:
Provided by the station
Channel and frequency:
Such as: 12B 225.64 MHz
