NOTE: if the ambient temperature changes
significantly, e.g. because a door has been
left open for an extended period, the setting
of the thermostat will need to be reset.
7. In order to switch off the device, set the
thermostat control 7 all the way down
to MIN and then set the main switch 6
to OFF. The control light 8 goes out.
8. If not in use for an extended period, pull
the mains plug 9 out of the wall socket.
NOTE: high electricity costs when in
continuous operation!
Please note that a lot of electricity is
consumed in continuous operation
(24 hours) due to the high output of
2,000 watt. At a price of 29 cents
per kilowatt hour, this would lead to
costs of €13.92 per day or approx.
€420.00 per month.

6.4 Overheating protection

This device possesses overheating protec-
tion for your safety.
If the temperature inside your device gets
too high, it automatically switches off.
1. Switch off the device by turning the ther-
mostat control 7 all the way down to
MIN and then set the main switch 6 to
OFF.
2. Let the device cool down completely.
3. Check whether the air inlet or air outlet
are obstructed and eliminate the cause.
Remove e.g. dust and fluff from the ven-
tilation gratings 1 and 13 on the top
and underside (see "Cleaning" on
page 23).
4. You can then switch the device on again.
NOTE: if the cause cannot be found and the
fault occurs repeatedly, contact the service
centre.

7. Cleaning

In order to enjoy your device for a long time,
you should regularly clean it.
DANGER! Risk of electric
shock!
Disconnect the mains plug before any
cleaning.
DANGER! Risk of injury
through burning!
Allow the device to cool down before
cleaning.
WARNING! Risk of material dam-
age!
Do not use any astringent or abrasive
cleaning agents.
1. The main cause of overheating is fluff
and dust deposits on the ventilation
gratings 1 and 13 on the top and un-
derside. These should therefore be re-
moved regularly with a vacuum cleaner.
Ideally you should use a brush attach-
ment.
2. The glass panel 14 and the housing
can be cleaned with a damp cloth. You
can also use a little detergent.
3. Wipe off with a cloth that has been
moistened with clean water.
4. Wipe the surfaces dry with a dry cloth.
5. Do not use the device until it is com-
pletely dry again.
