 In the System menu, use the I◂◂ (6) and ▸▸I (7) buttons to select the "Backlight"
option.
 Press the OK / AMS button (8) briefly.
 Use the I◂◂ (6) and ▸▸I buttons (7) to select "High", "Medium", "Low" or "Off"
and confirm your selection by pressing the OK / AMS button (8) briefly.

9.12.7 Automatic display backlight power-off

You can switch the automatic power-off of the display backlight on or off here.
 Press and hold the INFO / MENU button (2) for approx. 2 seconds.
 Use the I◂◂ (6) and ▸▸I (7) buttons to select the "System" option.
 Press the OK / AMS button (8) briefly.
 In the System menu, use the I◂◂ (6) and ▸▸I (7) buttons to select the "Auto
Backlight" option.
 Press the OK / AMS button (8) briefly.
 Using the I◂◂ (6) and ▸▸I (7) buttons, select "On" (display backlight switches off
after approx. 30 seconds) or "Off" (display backlight does not switch off) and
confirm your selection by pressing the OK / AMS button (8) briefly.
Please note that this setting is intended to extend the battery life.
The display backlight never switches off when using a power
adapter.
