WAIT FOR THE GLOW PLUG INDICATOR LIGHT (POINT19 FIG.3) TO GO OUT BEFORE TURNING ON
POSITION II THE ENGINE IGNITION KEY.IF THE TEMPERATURE IS VERY LOW, REPEAT THEPROCEDURE
(POSITION 0 - POSITION I) 2-3 TIMES BEFORE STARTING. NEVER LEAVE THE IGNITION KEY TURNED
TO I WITH THE ENGINE OFF.
15 Suction fan and fi lter shaker switch [FIG.3 - 3/E - 3/F]
Switches on the electric motors which power fans an shakers.
Position A: suction fans on
Position B: fi lter shaker on
16 Hazard fl asher switch (OPTIONAL) [FIG.3 - 3/E - 3/F]
Switches on/off the hazard fl asher
17 Battery indicator
[FIG.3 - 3/I electric sweeper]
Lights to show the condition of charge of battery. When the key 14 is turned on for general ignition, the
redlight fl ashes for a few seconds. Then it goes out and the yellow light goes on. If the batteries are
charged, thegreen light goes on. Gradually, as the batteries go down, the light passes from yellow to red.

It indicates a fault when the engine operates, example:The alternator does not charge the battery or
broken, froma belt or a cable disconnected.
18 Switched on suction fans indicator [FIG.3 - 3/I]
It indicates that the suction fans are switched.
19 Glow plug pre-heating indicator [FIG.3 - 3/I diesel version]
The light comes on after the ignition key has been inserted
to indicate that the glow plugs are warning up; when it goes out, the engine is ready to be started.
20 Engine cooling water temperature indicator [FIG.3 - 3/I diesel and petrol sweeper]
The light switching on and the simultaneus engine switching off indicate that the engine cooling water has
reached a too high temperature.
21 Operating brush indicator [FIG.3 - 3/I]
It indicates that the brushes are operating. If the brush warning light comes on during operation, either the
main brush is pressing too hard on the ground (in which case back off the handwheel 33) or the brush has
risen because the machine has been used on a ridge, for example (in this case, lower the brush using the
lever 9).
