SQlab products with the eBike Ready label are suitable for use on pedelecs in their respective ASTM F2043-13/ DIN EN 17406 category
from the point of view of function, ergonomics and operational stability (in accordance with the DIN EN ISO 4210 and DIN EN ISO 15194
standards).
The SQlab Label eBike Ready refers exclusively to the use on pedelecs with pedal assistance up to 25 km/h. The eBike Ready label can
be found on the packaging, the user manual and the product page of your SQlab product
Exchange of the SQlab pedals on Pedelec25
Ebikes and pedelecs with CE mark and pedal assistance up to 25 km/h are subject to the Machinery Directive, therefo e components of
these bikes must not be replaced or modified without further notice. In order to provide clarity, the associations ZweiradIndustrieVer
band (ZIV) and Verbund Service und Fahrrad (VSF) in cooperation with the Zedler Institute and the Bundesinnungs verband Fahrrad (BIV)
have published a joint guideline for the exchange of components on ebikes / pedelecs 25.
The guideline clearly defines what bicycle dealers and garages are allowed to change on these vehicles and which components they have
to obtain the approval of the vehicle manufacturer or system provider.
An exchange of the SQlab pedals bearing the label eBike Ready on Pedelec25 is possible on the basis of the recommendation for acti
on „Guideline for the exchange of components for CEmarked ebikes/pedelecs with pedal assistance up to 25 km/h" of the associa
tions ZweiradIndustrieVerband (ZIV) and Verbund Service und Fahrrad (VSF) in cooperation with the Zedler Institute and the Bundes
innungsverband Fahrrad (BIV), as long as the pedal is not wider than the series/original pedal and the approved reflectors are fitted.

A component exchange of SQlab pedals on fast pedelecs, socalled SPedelec, which are classified as motor vehicles and sub
ject to the EU regulation 168/ 2013, is not possible based on the guideline „Component exchange on SPedelecs fast ebikes / pe
delecs with pedal assistance up to 45 km/h" of the Bundesinnungsverband für das Deutsche ZweiradmechanikerHandwerk (BIV),
TÜV Rheinland, velotech. de, Verbund Service und Fahrrad (VSF), ZedlerInstitut as well as the ZweiradIndustrieVerband (ZIV).
