Command timer
The time on the remote control must be set in
order to use this timer.
With the command timer you can program
a function which is to be automatically
performed at a specific point in time within
that next 24 hours. The command chain can
consist of up to four commands, where the
first command must always be the selection
of a source button.
For the next three commands, the following
buttons cannot be used: the source buttons,
the navigation buttons and OK, MACRO,
SETUP, EXIT.
You can create four command timers (Timer 1,
Timer 2, Timer 3, Timer 4).
This timer is automatically deleted when the
command is performed.
Programming a command timer
Example: The following describes the
programming of a command timer which
controls the record function on a DVD
recorder.
a. Press and hold the Setup button for
approx. 3 seconds until CODE SETUP
appears.
b. Briefly press the Setup button twice more
to access the TIMER SETUP menu.
c. Press OK. The SLEEPTIM. TV menu
appears.
d. Select the TIMER 1 SETUP menu using the
navigation buttons.
e. Press OK. TIMER 1 SETUP appears.
f. Press OK. The time at which the command
is to be performed appears.
g. The hour flashes. Set the hour using the
navigation buttons and press OK.
h. The minutes flash. Set the minutes using
the navigation buttons and press OK.
i. When the display reads TIMER 1 MOD.?
you can begin to enter the command.
j. First use the source key to select the
device upon which the command should
be performed.
In our example: DVD, if the DVD recorder
was programmed to this button.
k. Press OK. The request for the first entry
appears TIMER 1 EING1. Now enter the
first command.
In our example: Select the channel using
the number keys.
l. If no further entries are required, press
OK or EXIT.
m. TIMER 1 EING2 appears. Enter the second
command.
In our example: Press the Record button.
n. After the second command,
TIMER 1 EING3 appears.
In our example: press the Record button a
second time.
o. After the third command, the confirmation
message FERTIG appears on the display
along with the bell symbol.
Place the remote control so that it has an
unobstructed line of sight to the device.
You can cancel the programming process at
any time by pressing EXIT.
