System Setup options: Setting the punch
through functions, time, date, backlight and
system restore.
The "punch through" functions (VOL/MUTE)
let you control the volume and mute functions
on a device type other than the one selected.
Often image transmission devices which
are connected to a TV (e.g. TV, DVD, VCR,
SAT, CBL) do not have their own volume
control. When the universal remote control
is controlling such a device and the VOL
or MUTE buttons are pressed, the volume
control is carried over to the TV.

Programming punch through (VOL/MUTE) to a
different device type
You can set the remote control so that the
"punch through" function does not control
the TV but rather a different device type. This
device must of course have volume control.
a. Press and hold the Setup button for
approx. 3 seconds until CODE SETUP
appears.
b. Briefly press Setup again to access
SYSTEM SETUP.
c. Press OK. VOL/MUTE SETUP appears.
d. Press OK again. The ALL VOL. ALLE menu
appears. In this menu, all VOL/MUTE
commands are programmed to the device
type which you select in the next step.
e. Press OK again. The prompt
WELCHER MOD.? appears.
f. Press a source button to select the device
