The remote control then switches to normal
operation mode.
When all codes for the selected device type
have been tried, the message SUCHE ENDE
appears.
Code search by manufacturer name
This function gives you the option to search
by company name (manufacturer).
a. Switch on the device you wish to control.
b. Press and hold the Setup button for
approx. 3 seconds until CODE SETUP
appears.
c. Press OK. CODELISTE AUFR. appears.
d. Select the HERSTEL.-CODES menu using
the navigation buttons.
e. Press OK. QUELLEN-TASTE appears.
Press the desired source button (TV, VCR,
CBL, ASAT, DSAT, DVD, AUX1, CD, AMP,
AUX2). GERAET? TV appears.
f. Use the navigation buttons to select the
device type you wish to program to this
source button. (When "TV" is selected,
it is not possible to select a device
type, because only TV codes can be
programmed to this source button.)
g. Press OK. The prompt HERSTEL-CODE?
appears.
h. Press a number key for the desired
manufacturer according to the following:
1. Philips
2. Sony
3. Thomson
4. Saba
5. Grundig
6. Beko

Perform the function test by repeatedly
pressing the buttons CH+ or PLAY (only for
video recorders) until the device changes
channels, switches off or responds
accordingly.
The code search begins with the currently
saved code.
During the search, SUCHEN... appears
on the display (along with the selected
device type).
If you miss the code, you can go
backwards one at a time using the CH –
button.
i. When the device reacts correctly when
a button is pressed, press OK to save the
code. The confirmation message FERTIG
appears.
The remote control then switches to normal
operation mode.
Code identification
If you wish to know which code is saved to
a particular source button, simply press this
source button. The selected device type and
the device code appear on the display.
Operating combination devices
Examples of combination devices include
a TV with video recorder, a TV with DVD
player or a DVD recorder with video recorder.
There are several options for controlling
combination devices.
