Function

3.1
Transmission unit
The transmission unit has an antenna for transmitting power and data between the transmission
unit and the sensor. The transmission unit is installed on the moving part.
3.2
Monitoring of opening
A data code that has already been allocated is stored in each sensor (unique).
This code is permanently queried by the evaluation unit (EU) via the transmission unit. The
code can only be received as long as the transmission unit of the sensor is within the transmis-
sion range to the transmission unit. This is only the case when the window and/or the door is
closed (monitoring of opening).
As the individual code is stored in the sensor, the line between the transmission unit and the
glass breakage sensor is automatically monitored for breaks and short circuit.
In the teaching mode, the EU permanently stores the code of the sensor. (A code that has
already been stored, remains stored even when the EU is degenerized).
In normal operation, the stored code is compared with the received code. Only when both
codes are identical, is "OK" signaled. It is therefore, impossible in normal operation to replace
the sensor (e.g. by another sensor). This system therefore, has a high anti-tamper feature.

Detection of glass breakage
The base of the sensor has a Piezo crystal for detecting glass breakage that records "noises"
that are typical during glass breakage. The electronics can identify glass breakage by the
frequency spectrum.
Triggered glass breakage is stored in the EU until it is cleared.
The EU differentiates between monitoring of opening and glass breakage.
3.4
Window handle/lock monitoring
For monitoring the lock, a contact is used on the handle that is connected parallel to the antenna
of the transmission unit. The contact must be open when the handle is locked.
Data transmission is only possible when the window and/or the door
the EU can receive the code of the sensor which means that only in this case can an "OK" be
signaled.
