5.1.2 Cleaning / disinfection of the surface of the device
Clean the surfaces of the device regularly and disinfect
them daily.
•
The device can be wiped with a damp, lint-free cloth.
•
Follow the instructions for wipe disinfection in section 5.1.1.
Repeated cleaning and disinfection procedures may result in minor
discolorations of the plastic components of the housing. However
these do not affect the function of the device.
If the interior of the device comes into direct contact with liq-
uids or solids, the device must be inspected by ASSKEA GmbH
or by a service partner authorized by ASSKEA GmbH.
5.1.3 Cleaning / disinfection of the reusable secretion canister

1. Empty the reusable secretion canister and dispose of the
aspirate properly.
2. Remove the ball before performing the following cleaning
instructions (Fig. 34(B)).
3. Rinse all components of the reusable secretion canister under
running water.
4. Immerse all components of the reusable secretion canister in dis-
infectant solution recommended by ASSKEA GmbH for immersion
disinfection (see section 5.1.1), taking into account the specified
concentration.
5. Afterwards, rinse the components thoroughly and let them dry.
6. The reusable secretion canister can also be autoclaved for
20 minutes at 121 °C, in which case please remove the overflow
protection in advance (Fig. 34(B)).
7. After autoclaving, fix the overflow protection in the lid, taking
into account the orientation of the opening (Fig. 34(B)).
8. Reinsert the ball according to Fig. 34.
ASSKEA GmbH recommends replacing the reusable secretion canister
every 4 weeks at the latest, if it is used and disinfected frequently!
