4.4 Decommissioning
4.4.1 ASSKEA proVisio

Health risks due to handling of infectious
or pathogenic germs
Infectious and pathogenic germs in the aspirate cause health
risks.
•
Replace the bacterial filter at least every 2 weeks when
used exclusively for one patient, if it is used frequently!
•
Wear suitable disposable gloves during decommissioning.
•
The reuse of bacterial filters for multiple patients is
EN
prohibited for hygiene and safety reasons!
•
For each new patient, processing by ASSKEA GmbH or by

an authorized service partner of ASSKEA GmbH is strictly
required!
•
After each aspiration procedure, all components that have
come into contact with the aspirate must be cleaned,
disinfected, or disposed of.
•
The aspirate and the parts contaminated with aspirate
must be disposed of properly.
1. Switch off the device after the aspiration by holding the On / Off
button (Fig. 1.1(C)) pressed for 1-2 seconds.
2. Disconnect the power supply unit from the mains supply (100 V to
240 V AC) if attached, and then remove the device plug from the
aspiration device.
3. Remove the suction tube (Fig. 1.1(G)) from the secretion canister.
4. Clean or dispose of the suction tube properly (see section 5.1.6
and 5.2.6).

5. Remove the reusable secretion canister from the device by press-
ing the unlocking mechanism on the secretion canister lid and then
pivoting the secretion canister out of the device.
