5.2 Establishing Connection to a PC

Communication between SensorReady 3D and PC takes place
via a virtual COM interface. To connect the SensorReady 3D to
your PC via USB cable, you require Windows 2000, Windows
XP (32/64 Bit), Windows Vista (32/64 Bit), Windows 7 (32/64
Bit), Windows 8 (32/64 Bit) or Windows 10 (32/64 Bit).
Observe the following notes, regardless of the version of your
operating system:

1 Disconnect the power supply of the SensorReady 3D from
2 Switch the PC on.
3 Insert the installation CD in the CD drive.
4 Connect the USB port on the SensorReady 3D to a USB port
5 Connect the power supply of the SensorReady 3D to the mains.
The operating system automatically recognises a new device
(SensorReady 3D).
6 Follow the installation instructions of your operating system.
Once installation is completed, the SensorReady 3D is connec-
ted to your PC.
Allow the drivers to install automatically from the operating
system.
Do not connect to Windows Update.
Continue installing the drivers despite the message about
the missing Windows-Logo-Test.

cally found on the installation CD, enter the driver storage
