Address is derived from the integrated turn-switch:
• Turn-switch < 8:
Sercos address = (30 + turn-switch)
IP adress = 192.168.0. (30 + turn-switch)
• Turn-switch >= 8:
Sercos address = (14 + turn-switch)
IP address = 192.168.0. (14 + turn-switch)

19.2 Operation as simple Sercos IO module

The MGDM can also used as simple Sercos IO module.
In Sercos IO mode the process measuring inputs (current/voltage/force) will not
be transmitted in the real time channel. Only the digital inputs and outputs and the
analog inputs/outputs pressure (XGM3) and the input ext. force (XGM6).
The operation mode will be activated via the hidden turn-switch (>=8).

19.3 Operation with one transformer only

Only XGM1 is connected. XGM2 remains unconnected.
Depending on the setting PRI7000 parameter No. of transformers, e.g. for a
transformer only the connection XGM1 is read out.

19.4 Switching on the MGDM

1. Switch on the 24 V supply US1.
The display of the LED US1 should be on green, if the power supply is
switched on (refer to Fig.1 and section 16 LEDs).
2. The LED PWR indicates if the internal power supply is available (refer to
section 16 LEDs).
3. Check whether the I/O signals for communication with robots, PLC
or control panel are output/imported properly.
4. Check all Emergency-Stop/Emergency-Halt devices on correct function.
5. Test the plant functionality installed for any faults.
6. For operation has to be also switched on the 24 V supply US2 (LED US2 must
be green)

19.5 Switching off the MGDM

Turn the supply US1 off.
The LED PWR on the front panel of the MGDM goes off.
With external 24 V supply of the logic (at US2)
the LED US2 lights up.
