2.3.1 Country-specific obligations of the operator
The recirculation of filtered air is sometimes associated with health risks and is therefore prohibited in certain countries.
NOTICE
• Please observe the occupational health and safety regulations of the relevant country. The recirculation of filtered air is
not permitted in all countries.
• When used in France, the cleaned air must be expelled from the building.
2.4 Specific safety instructions
DANGER
Risk of injury and property damage
The extraction of flammable, aggressive chemical or oil-laden substances and materials as well as dusts containing
aluminum or magnesium can pose a risk of injury and property damage.
• Use the device according to its designated use only.
WARNING
Health risk caused by harmful dust
Before and during operation, please observe the following:
• The device contains harmful dust as of the first use.
• The device may not be operated without the filter system.
• The device must be closed during operation and during the cleaning process.
• Do not use or store the device outdoors under humid conditions.
• If it is necessary to replace power cords or device connecting cables, only models indicated by the manufacturer may
be used.
• When using the welding fume filter, the volume flow that is led back to the work area may not exceed 50% of the supply
air of the installation area. In the event of free room ventilation, the supply air flow corresponds to one room volume per
hour. This corresponds to a ventilation rate of 1/h.

2.5 Safety instructions for the mains connection
NOTICE
• Make sure that the mains connecting cable is not damaged by being driven over, crushed, torn or similar.
• The mains connecting cable must be checked for damage and wear at regular intervals.
• The device may only be operated with an undamaged mains connecting cable.
• The 115 V or 230 V 50/60 Hz mains connector must be protected by a 16 A fuse.
• Only qualified persons are authorized to replace the mains connecting cable and mains plug.
• Splash-water protection and mechanical stability must be ensured when replacing the mains plug of the
mains connecting cable.
• Use either rubberized cable H07RN-F3G 1.5 (230 V) or H07RN-F3G 2.5 (115 V) when replacing
the power supply cable.
2.6 Personal protective equipment (PPE)
To prevent danger to the user, these instructions recommend the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• This consists of protective clothing, safety goggles, a class P3 respiratory mask, protective gloves and safety shoes.
