9 Troubleshooting

Risk of injury and device damage when handled by unauthorized persons
Improper repair work and modifications to the product may lead to serious injuries and damage
to the device. The product warranty will be rendered invalid if work is carried out on the product by
unauthorized persons.
• Only qualified personnel are permitted to perform work on the device or system.

DANGER
Cause
• Contact pressure of the wire feed rollers is
too high
• The distance between the wire feed roller
and the guide tube is too great
• Poor uncoiling of the wire from the wire
spool
• Wire-holding arbor does not run smoothly • Check the wire-holding arbor
• Incorrect wire feed roller
• Wire feed tube or wire guide spiral is
soiled/defective
• Contact tip blocked/defective
• Welding wire dirty/starting to rust
• Wire guide tube is not aligned with the
groove of the wire feed roller
• Surface of workpiece is soiled (dye, rust,
oil, grease)
• No shielding gas (solenoid valve does not
open)
• Insufficient shielding gas
• Gas nozzle is soiled
• A supply phase is missing
• Defective wire feed; wire feed rollers
slipping

• Check the distance
• Re-adjust the wire guide tube
• Check the wire coil
• Re-insert the wire coil
