The device has the following safety covers:
– Housings.
– Protective grille preventing access installed in
front of the fan (air intake end).
– Protective grille preventing access installed in
front of the air outlet.

Operating and display elements

The device is operated using controls on the back.

– Main ON/OFF switch This turns the device on
and off. The switch illuminates yellow when ON
and the device then operates continuously.
– Performance regulator This sets performance
between 0% and 100%. We recommend the de-
vice always be operated at 100%.
– Filter change display The indicator light shows
the level of main filter saturation. It will warn you
when this filter and the first stage filter need re-
placing. Always have enough filter material to
hand.
How long filters last depends on the quantity of
dust ingested. The device determines the air
flow through the filter via an integrated differen-
tial pressure switch.
NOTICE! The filter change display only works
reliably if the device is operated at full air ca-
pacity.

– Electricity meter The electricity meter measures
electricity consumption in kW/h and can be used
to document same and for invoicing purposes
with insurance companies.
NOTICE! The meter complies with MID stand-
ards and is hence calibrated.

Uses and installation

The device is mainly intended for use in dusty envi-
ronments at a variety of locations. It serves occupa-
tional health and safety purposes, ensures cleanli-
ness goals are met and improves working efficiency.
Air that is a hazard to health is rendered harmless
by this air filtration. Unaffected personnel and loca-
tions can be protected by the device against harmful
airborne particles. Isolation and the generation of
vacuum pressure in the affected area greatly im-
proves fine cleansing of air.
NOTICE
Certificates of competence in removing harmful
substances
Like all vacuum equipment the device may only be
used by operators with the certification of compe-
tence required. Local authorities and institutions
(e.g. employers' liability insurance agencies in Ger-
many, the SUVA in Switzerland, the AUVA in Aus-
tria) can provide information on the certification/s of
competence required.
Interpretation
If the device is used in any location in which persons
are present then the responsible authorities will set
air change rates related to substance (e.g. Technical
Rules for Hazardous Substances [TRGS] in Ger-
many). The employers' liability insurance for building
trades in Germany (BG-BAU) requires an air change
