8. Maintenance, cleaning and recalibration
Procedure
1. Turn off the instrument and lay it face down.
2. Loosen the four screws of the battery compartment (→ see figure).
3. Remove the battery cover.
4. Insert the size A battery in correct polarity. Only use approved batteries (→ see chapter
3.8 "Approved batteries and antennas").
5. Put the battery cover on and screw it tight with the four screws.
6. The instrument switches automatically into the active mode.
7. Reset the battery indicator (→ see the "LPWAN communication protocol" AI_14391478
on the WIKA homepage)
During longer times of inactivity, remove the batteries from the instrument.

Initialising the battery

The battery indicator can be reset via a LoRaWAN
the estimate of the remaining battery capacity. The current consumption between the
battery replacement or the last power on and the reset of the battery indicator is taken
into account.
8.4

Cleaning

CAUTION!
Physical injuries and damage to property and the environment
Improper cleaning may lead to physical injuries and damage to property and
the environment. Residual media at the dismounted instrument can result in a
risk to persons, the environment and equipment.
Use the requisite protective equipment.
Carry out the cleaning process as described below.
