8. Maintenance, cleaning and recalibration

8.1
Maintenance
The instrument is maintenance-free.
Testing of the display function
Check the display function 1 or 2 times per year. For this, disconnect the instrument from
the process and check with a pressure testing device.
Testing of filled instruments
For filled instruments, the level must be checked once or twice every year.
The liquid level must not drop below 75 % of the instrument diameter.
Repairs must only be carried out by the manufacturer or appropriately qualified skilled
personnel.
This does not apply to the replacement of the battery or the antenna.
Only use original parts (→ see chapter 3.8 "Approved batteries and antennas").
8.2
Battery replacement
For battery replacement observe the following instructions:
Only change the batteries in a dry environment

Do not use rechargeable batteries
■
Only use battery model LS17500 from SAFT
■
Secure the battery cover with the four screws
■
Do not use power tools for screwing in.
■
Ensure the correct polarity
■

Measures
