14 Design and Function

This chapter provides you with important safety notices on the design and function of the
device.

Complete overview

6 Lower gasket: Seals the vacuum chamber from below
7 Upper gasket: Seals the vacuum chamber from above
8 Sealing bar: Contains a heating wire covered with Teflon which allows the bag to
seal but not to stick to the wire.
Warning
► Attention When you press the safety-switch (1) the motor of the device starts to
withdraw air. After this the sealing bar (8) turns hot.
The sealing bar gets very hot.
Please observe the following safety notice in order not to burn yourself or others.
► To avoid getting burned, never touch the sealing bar directly after sealing process.
► Do not remove the Teflon tape (T).
Please note
1 Safety switch: Is
activated when the cover is
closed.
2 Release button: Press
both sides simultaneously to
open the cover. And release
the vacuum pressure inside
the machine.
3 Air Intake: Connects the
vacuum chamber to the
pump.
4 Sealing profile Presses
the bag tightly onto the
sealing element.
5 Vacuum chamber:
Position the open end of the
bag inside the chamber,
draws air out of bag and
catches any liquid overflow
from the bag.
