Indirect measurement (Pythagoras)
determining a distance with two measurements
Indirect measuring is used to measure distances
that cannot be measured directly because an obst-
acle would block the laser beam, or there is no tar-
get surface available as a reflector. Indirect mea-
surement for determining a distance with 2 auxiliary
measurements.
Press the button until the symbol appears
in the display. The distance to measure first is
shown as a flashing line in the symbol.
Point to the top point and press the button.
After the first measurement, the first value is dis-
played. Now use the spirit level in the housing to
level the device horizontally.
Initiate the second measurement by pressing the
button.
The result is automatically determined and shown in
the display.
