2 Product Description

2.1 Function
The 13E202=* Suction Socket Electrode collects the muscle action poten­
tials generated on the skin surface during muscle contraction, filters out
unwanted interference and amplifies this signal so it can be used to control
myoelectric components.
The 13E202=* Suction Socket Electrode cannot only be used for standard
fittings, but is also suitable for application in suction sockets. When combin­
ing the 13E202=* Suction Socket Electrode with a 12V10 Tube Valve for
Suction Socket, a vacuum effect is created in the socket that ensures optim­
al linkage between the residual limb and the socket.
The high frequency shielding and filtering of the electrode helps maintain the
signal's control of the myoelectric prosthesis in spite of high frequency inter­
ference (e.g. mobile phones, walkie-talkies, computers or anti-theft systems
in shopping centres).
