8. Connection and setup

Follow the information in the "Safety instructions".
Always switch off the soldering station using the on/off switch (switch position "O") before connecting or
disconnecting the soldering iron or soldering tweezers, otherwise the soldering station may be damaged.
Channels 1 and 2 of the soldering station are equivalent. This means that it is irrelevant which of these two
channels you use for the soldering iron or soldering tweezers.

a) Soldering iron

Place the soldering iron in the support holder provided.
Insert the soldering iron connector into one of the two sockets (6 or
7). Insert the connector into the socket in the correct orientation and
secure it in place using the locking ring. Do not use force!

b) Soldering tweezers

Place the soldering tweezers in the support holder provided.
The soldering tweezers have two small soldering tips. For example,
with a small SMD resistor, both ends can be heated at the same time
and also removed from the board.
Insert the soldering tweezer connector into one of the two sockets (6
or 7). Insert the connector into the socket in the correct orientation
and secure it in place using the locking ring. Do not use force!
