the splitting wedge was already in its highest position, activate the splitting mechanism
by moving the two operating levers downwards. This will cause the splitting wedge to
move downwards.
• The electromotor is connected ready for operation and complies with the relevant
VDE and DIN regulations.
• The AC supply connection and any extension cables used must comply with those
regulations and with the regulations of the local electricity supply authority.
Three-phase supply - changing the direction of phase rotation
(Figure 8 on page 3)
If the machine is fitted for operation from a three-phase supply, check the direction of
rotation of the motor by briefly switching it on and then off again. If the motor turns in the
wrong direction (i.e. if the splitting wedge does not move), disconnect the machine from
the AC supply immediately. Inside the connector on the machine is a simple device for
changing the direction of phase rotation. To make use of the phase rotation changer
use a suitable screwdriver to turn through 180° the round white plate on which two pins
of the connecter are located.
ATTENTION: Do not allow the motor to run in the wrong direction.
This will lead without exception to the destruction of the pumping
system and that cannot be made the subject of a claim under the
warranty.

Application

1. Open the venting screw and unscrew the hydraulic oil filling nozzle cap a few turns.
When the work with the firewood splitter is completed, tighten the hydraulic oil
filling nozzle cover to close it again.
2. Check that the direction of rotation of the motor is correct (i.e. check that the
splitting wedge moves).
ATTENTION: If the ambient temperature is below 0°C, activate the
operating levers a few times to warm up the hydraulic oil a little
before starting work with the machine.
3. Check that the firewood splitter is functioning correctly by pressing both operating
levers downwards with both hands.
- This will cause the splitting wedge to move downwards.
