Application in intrusion detection systems

The IK3 conventional evaluation unit combines both mechanical locking technology and the transmis-
sion of data and information.

The IDENT-KEY system enables allocation to time zones as well as the recording of locking times
and key numbers. In this case, the reader is not a direct switching device but rather more a reader.
The preliminary decision as to whether a device is armed/disarmed is made by the evaluation unit
which transmits this decision to the central control unit. In a disarmed state, it is possible to release
a door locked by a door strike via the reader and/or a button (AC function). Irrespective of the
armed/disarmed state, the door can be released via the forced unlocking function using a button
(emergency open).
Depending on the used reader with keypad up to 16 programmable switching and control functions
can be called in conjunction.
When using the IDENT-KEY as an arming/disarming device, an appropriate blocking mechanism
must be employed (e.g. electromechanical blocking element) to prevent unintentionally entering an
armed zone.
See the illustration below for possible blocking elements and combinations.
The bolt end positions are monitored with all types (for details see 4.3.2). A blocked element is indi-
cated at the evaluation unit as a fault and also affects the positive drive condition.
Application-related data (e.g. key numbers, authorization, date/time etc.) are programmed directly at
the EU via the software module WINFEM Advanced.
