Faults

Faults are indicated at the LED of the EU and the fault relay is simultaneously actuated. The relay
contact is closed if there is
Events that trigger a fault signal:
- 2 sec. after the main program/software has been stopped. After a further 2 seconds, the external
watchdog becomes active.
- Blocking element fault
- Clock not functioning/empty battery
- RAM error
- Flash error
- Tamper at the IK2 interface
- Tamper at the RS-485 interface or at least 1 reader does not respond
- The external watchdog is no longer triggered
As soon as the fault is eliminated, the relay and LED are automatically reset.

Programmable analogue inputs

The three 5 V DC analogue inputs are monitored at 12k1.

4.5.1 Free

In this operating mode, no specific function is allocated to the respective input. It can be used as
required.
4.5.2 Opening contact
This function is used for monitoring how long the door is open after releasing (door monitoring time).
If the maximum time defined in the programming is exceeded, a buzzer can be heard. The contact is
also used for detecting the breaking open of doors.
A magnetic contact e.g. is connected to the door or the monitoring contact of the door strike at the
entrance.
Important:
This opening contact is not identical with the contact that is used by the central control unit
for monitoring opening. It is required additionally, therefore, we recommend using the moni-
toring contact of the door strike for the door monitoring time.
4.5.3 Door strike armature contact
This function is for monitoring AC door strikes with armature contact (see IDCU Instructions).
An error message of the armature contact is stored in the event memory and can be used as a
tamper message via a programmable output.
