Blocking elements

An electromechanical blocking element can be used as an electromechanical locking device (locking
device when system is armed).
4.3.2.1
Blocking element 1
The evaluation unit monitors the end position of the bolt (open/closed). The feedback signals of the
blocking element are evaluated. This monitoring affects the positive drive condition.
If required, several blocking elements can be used (connected in parallel or cascaded, see Mounting
and Connection Instructions of the blocking element).
Description of the possible evaluation states as well as elimination of faults
1. -
"Arm"
-
The blocking element moves into the end position "CLOSED". The positive drive condition is
fulfilled.
-
Zone is armed
2. -
"Disarm"
-
The blocking element moves into the end position"OPEN"
-
Zone is disarmed
3. -
"Arm"
-
The blocking element does not move into the end position "CLOSED". Positive drive condi-
tion is not fulfilled.
-
Zone is not armed; negative acknowledgement
up, the fault relay is de-energized. The locking bolt retracts automatically to the normal posi-
tion.
-
If the code carrier is re-read, the negative acknowledgement can be stopped prematurely
and the evaluation unit can be prepared for re-arming. If the negative acknowledgement is
not stopped prematurely, the code carrier must be re-read nevertheless to establish the arm-
ing readiness of the evaluation unit.
4. -
"Disarm"
-
Blocking element does not move into end position "OPEN"
-
Zone is disarmed, there is no acoustical fault indication
-
Fault LED lights up, the fault relay is de-energized. The EU is not ready to arm.
-
If the code carrier is re-read, a renewed attempt is made to move the locking bolt into the
"OPEN" position. If this attempt is successful, the central control unit is ready to arm. If the
bolt has still not reached the end position "OPEN", the blocking element must be unlocked
mechanically.
4.3.2.2
Blocking element 3
From the electrical point of view, blocking element 3 is identical with blocking element 1 with a mag-
netic contact (019033). The difference is the enhanced mechanical strength - there is no predeter-
mined breaking point on the locking bolt. It is approved as a final access control element according to
VdS Class C.
4.3.2.3
Blocking element SLIM-LOCK
With the SLIM-LOCK blocking element, the electronics are relocated in the EU for monitoring the end
position of the bolt. Acknowledgement signals are therefore not required.
Due to the type of monitoring, SLIM-LOCK can only be connected once.
In the event of a reset (brief interruption of the operating voltage), a SLIM-LOCK is automatically
detected.
SLIM-LOCK can also be used in addition to the blocking element 1 / 3.
Its compact, circular design renders it easy to mount.
Evaluation states and fault elimination are identical with blocking element 1.
