6.6 The flex zone

The left flexible zone can be used as a single zone or as two different
zones, accordingly to the cooking needs anytime.
A flex zone consists of two independent induction zones that can be
interconnected.
If the cookware is moved from the front to the back (or vice versa)
within the flexible area during operation as one large zone, the new
position is automatically detected;
the power level of the zone on which the cookware was originally
placed is maintained and the part not covered by the cookware is
automatically switched off.
Important note: Make sure to place the cookwares centered in flex-
zone operation, so that both zones are covered equally.
Examples for good and bad cookware placements :
Activating as one large cooking zone (flex zone)
1. Touch the Flex Zone button to activate the Flex Zone as a single
large zone .
2. As with the other cooking zones, the power level is set by means
of a slider.
This setting is also retained for a newly detected position of cook-
ware that is moved within the flexible zone.
4. To add further cookware, press the Flex Zone button again, in
order to detect the cookware.
Activating as two independent cooking zones

To operate two independent individual zones, you can divide
them again into the rear and front cooking zone using the respec-
tive selection field.
