GENERAL NOTES

Maintenance and cleaning

During maintenance, care must be taken to avoid any static
electricity damaging the electronics.
If the appliance has to be moved, make sure you unplug it
first and always disconnect the plug on top of appliance
(see figs. F and G).
Make sure that either the plug is removed from the
wall socket or from the appliance or that the group
to which the fire/mantelpiece is connected, is
switched off.
Your fire/mantelpiece combination should be serviced at
least once a year.We advise you to have this done by a
qualified professional.
Make sure that the fire/mantelpiece combination is
completely cool and that there is no current on the set
before starting any cleaning or inspection.
The inspection and maintenance must at least warrant that
the appliance/mantelpiece combination is working
correctly and safely. Have this done by your installer or a
specialised maintenance company.
We also recommend you regularly check the appliance for
accumulated dust and clean it, or have it cleaned, if
necessary.
In order to check the air inlet and the hot-air outlet for
dust accumulation the back panel of the mantelpiece will
have to be removed (see fig. N)
Make sure that there is no current in the
fire/mantelpiece combination by unplugging the
appliance before removing the back panel (see fig.
N).

CONVERSION INSTRUCTIONS

The fan can be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner or soft
brush if necessary.Take care to clean the fan evenly to
prevent any imbalance occurring. Do not touch the fan
with anything hard, as this could cause imbalance.
In time, dust will collect on the inside of the front glass
window.This can be removed with a glass cleaner or a
damp cloth (see removing the front glass window).
Do not use corrosive or abrasive substances to
clean the casing and mantelpiece. Any damage to
the coating, caused by things put on or against the
casing and/or the mantelpiece for example, is not
covered by the guarantee.

Extra protection

If the fire/mantelpiece combination is to be installed
in a room where there are likely to be
unsupervised young children or invalids, we advise
you to fit a guard and to keep the remote control
in a safe place.
