Tamper triggered
Both housings are equipped with a cover and tear-off contact. If the tamper detector group is triggered (e.g.
housing cover is lifted) a local acoustical and optical alarm is triggered immediately. The red LED "Activation"
flashes 1:1 until the cause of the triggered tamper is eliminated. A tamper alarm can also be triggered when the
Doorguard device is inactive.

Installation
7.1
Notes on connecting the mains power supply
Attention 230V mains voltage! Installation and commissioning may only be carried out by a skilled electrician in
compliance with the German electrical standards (VDE) and safety provisions.
The energy supply system for the Doorguard hardwired version must be equipped with a circuit breaker in
accordance with the intended purpose (circuit breaker or plug positioned at the connecting cable to the supply
circuit).
The mains supply wires must have double insulation and must be fixed to the
housing base using a cable binder (see diagram). The enclosed insulating tube
can be used for this purpose.
Switch off the supply voltage, before opening the housing and/or working on
the device.
7.2
Connection to alarm signalling device
The alarm signalling device is connected via a wired connection (see Chapter
9.1). Four wires are required for the alarm signalling device and two further wires for tamper monitoring.
7.3
Shielding
A support terminal for the "Shield" of the cable can be used by one of the 2 terminals for free connection (see
connection diagram) in case several Doorguard hardwired version devices and a disable and display module
are installed. In this case, the cable shields of both BUS connecting cables can be connected to one another at
one of the connection terminals.
When using the terminal ensure that the shield connection is as short as possible so that there is no risk of an
unintentional short circuit (if necessary use an insulated flexible tube for the cable shield tracer wire).
7.4
External input (MG4)
The connection of the key operated switch at input MG 4 is monito-
red. Thus is to use a resistor (12K1) in series to the switch. (The
integrated resistor, terminal 3 and 4 (12K1) at MG 4 can be used
for this).
