1 Description
1.1 Intended use
With a flexion setting in the second locking position at maximum (corresponds
to 16° flexion), the System Knee Joints with Swiss Lock can be used in orthotic
fittings of the lower limb of patients with a body weight of up to 100 kg / 220 lbs.
INFORMATION
With flexion adjustment > 16°, the knee joints are solely to be used in
positioning orthoses. The System Knee Joints must be used in pairs.
1.2 Field of application
These System Knee Joints are designed to be used together with free-
motion or dorsiflexion assist ankle joints. Please note: Using ankle joints
with a dorsal stop increases the wear on the Ottobock orthotic components.
INFORMATION
We recommend checking the orthotic joints every six months and replac-
ing the joints once a year if necessary, especially if the joints are used
with a flexion setting of 16°.
