HINWEIS
Ungenügende Vorbereitungsmassnahmen können zu einer man-
gelhaften Schweissverbindung führen. Die Funktionsfähigkeit und
Lebensdauer des Produktes können beeinträchtigt werden.
Diese Installationsanleitung, die Angaben im «Technischen
Handbuch für PE-Rohrleitungssysteme in der Versorgung» und die
Bedienungsanleitung des Elektroschweissgeräts befolgen.
ELGEF Plus Anschlusssättel Topload lassen sich verarbeiten mit
Rohren nach EN1555-2, EN12201-2 und DIN 8074/75.
Die Verarbeitung von Rohren mit Toleranzen außerhalb der
genannten Normanforderungen kann zu einer mangelhaften
Schweissverbindung führen.
NOTICE
Insufficient preparations can lead to a defective fusion connection.
The functionality and life-time of the product may be affected.
Adhere to this installation manual, the data in the «Technical
Manual for PE Piping Systems in Utilities» and the operating inst-
ructions for fusion units.
ELGEF Plus branch saddles Topload can be used with pipes accor-
ding to EN1555-2, EN12201-2 and DIN 8074/75.
Working with pipes that do not comply with the mentioned standard
requirements can result in faulty welded joints.
Vorgehensweise
Procedure

Den Arbeitsbereich auf dem PE Rohr grob reinigen.
Clean working area on the PE pipe roughly.

Schälbereich (Länge Anschlusssattel
plus 4cm) auf dem Rohr mit Meterstab
ausmessen und mit Permanent Marker
anzeichnen. Anschlusssattel Topload
muss noch im PE Beutel verpackt sein.
Measure area which must be peeled
(length of the branch saddle plus 4cm)
with a yardstick on the pipe and mark
with a permanent marker. Branch
saddle topload is still in the PE bag.

Rahmen mit Schälwerkzeug an den Griffen auf
das Rohr aufsetzen und positionieren. Rahmen
anhand der Markierungen auf den Schälbereich
ausrichten. Use the handles to place frame with
the window scraper onto the pipes, and position.
Adjust frame to the peeling area using the marks.

Ratschen oberhalb des Schälbereiches montieren. Beide Spanngurte
gleichzeitig anziehen, bis sich der Rahmen nicht mehr bewegt.
Mount ratchets above the peeling area. Pull both belts at the same
time until the frame does not move anymore.

Schälwerkzeug in Ausgangsposition bringen,
Messerschutz entfernen und Messer mit Spann-
schraube auf das Rohr absenken. Messerschutz
zur Aufbewahrung auf Messerschutzhalter am
Schälwerkzeug stecken. Place the window scraper
in its starting position, remove blade guard and
lower blade with clamp screw onto the pipe. To
store the blade guard, place it on the blade guard
holder on the window scraper.

Um Rohr zu schälen: Schälwerkzeug an Griffen
nach unten ziehen. To peel the pipe, pull window
scraper downwards using the handles.

Schälwerkzeug wieder nach oben bringen und
Messerwagen manuell versetzen (mind. 0,5 cm
Überlappung der Schälbahn notwendig). Pull
window scraper upwards and move blade carriage
manually (at least 0.5 cm overlap of peeling track
necessary).

Schälvorgang wiederholen bis Markierung des Anschlusssattels
Topload vollständig entfernt ist. Repeat peeling procedure until the
mark of the branch saddle Topload has been removed completely.

Nach Schälvorgang: Messer mit Spannschraube vom Rohr abheben
und Messerschutz aufbringen. PE Späne vom Rohr entfernen.
After peeling procedure: lift blade with clamp screw off the pipe and
put on blade guard. Remove PE chips from pipe.

Schälwerkzeug durch Abschrauben der Griffe vom Rahmen entfernen
und im Transportkoffer lagern. Remove window scraper by unscrewing
the handles from the frame and store in transport box.

PE Rohr nur im geschälten Bereich mit Tangit PE Reiniger und fussel-
freiem, unbedruckten, sauberen Papier in Umfangsrichtung reinigen.
Ablüften lassen. Schweissfläche nicht mehr berühren, Verschmutzungen
vermeiden. Clean PE pipe only where it has been peeled using Tangit
PE Cleaner and lint-free, colourless and clean cloth in circumferential
direction, let the cleaner exhaust. Do not touch the fusion zone and avoid
contamination.

Anschlusssattel Topload aus PE Beutel neh-
men und auf Rohr setzen. Spannaufsatz auf
Anschlusssattel Topload anbringen.
Remove branch saddle from PE bag and place
onto the pipe. Affix clamping attachment onto
branch saddle Topload.

Ersten Spanngurt mit Haken am Rahmen
befestigen, über den Anschlusssattel Topload
legen und durch leichtes Anziehen der Rat-
schen vorfixieren. Anschlusssattel Topload
ggf. nachpositionieren.
Affix first belt with its hook to the frame,
place over the branch saddle Topload, pre-fix
by slightly pulling the ratchets and position
branch saddle again, if necessary.

Zweiten Spanngurt mit Haken am Rahmen befestigen und über den
Anschlusssattel Topload spannen. Affix second belt with its hook to the
frame and tighten over the branch saddle Topload.

Beide Spanngurte mit Ratschen von Hand
anziehen, bis die Backen (A) der roten Spannan-
zeigen an den Spanngurten geschlossen sind.
Manually tighten both belts with the ratchets
until the jaws of the red clamping indicators (A)
are closed at the belts.

Schweissen gemäss Betriebsanleitung des Elektroschweissgeräts.
Schweissprozess kontrollieren und überwachen.
Welding according to the instruction manual of the fusion unit. Check
and monitor welding process.

Nach dem Schweissen: Meldung am Schweissgerätedisplay überprü-
fen. Anschliessend Schweisskabel entfernen.
After the welding: check notification on the fusion unit's display. Then,
remove fusion unit cable.

Minimale Abkühlzeit (s. Barcodeetikette) für das
Anbohren abwarten, danach Spannaufsatz entfernen
und Schweissanzeigen am Produkt kontrollieren.
Wait until cooling time (see bar code label) has been
completed before drilling. Then remove clamping at-
tachment and check fusion indicators on the product.

Lochsäge mit Bohrmaschine in Abgang
des Anschlusssattels Topload einführen
und PE Rohr anbohren.
Insert core cutter using a power drill into
the outlet of the branch saddle Topload.
Spot-drill the pipe.
