4.3 Driving to the measurement bay
!
The securing pins and the sliding plates must be
inserted on the turntable when driving the vehicle to
the measuring bay. Do not pull out the securing pins
until run-out compensation has been performed.

1. Fasten the turntables and sliding plates to the lift or
pit.
2. Insert securing pins of turntables and sliding plates.

The surface of the turntables must be on the same
level with the surface of the lift or the pit track.
3. Drive the vehicle to the measurement bay straight
and centered.

The vehicle must be positioned centrally on the turn-
tables and sliding plates.
i
Ensure an adequate flat rolling track in front of and
behind the center of the turntable.
i
The rolling distance for all standard wheel and
tire sizes is max. 30° forwards or backwards. This
corresponds to a max. rolling distance of 250 mm
forwards or backwards.

Secure the front, rear and side of the vehicle at the
platform or working pit to prevent it from rolling.

4.4 Fastening the universal clamp

After parking the vehicle on lift, the front wheel
must sit on the secured turntable.

Detach the hub caps if necessary.

Make sure that 4 identical universal clamps are
used to ensure correct measurement (measurement
error).
!
Drive onto the measurement bay before fitting the univer-
sal clamps.
!
The clamping method used depends on the type
of rim and the means of attachment. Special clamp
claws must be used for high-quality and commercial
vehicle rims.

The use of universal clamps is a prerequisite for cor-
rect application of run-out compensation.

The universal clamp is suitable for all steel and light
alloy rim sizes between 11" and 25".

The inner mounts of the clamp claws are to be used
for rim sizes of 13". Fasten the universal clamp hori-
zontally on the rim.

The outer mounts of the clamp claws are to be used
for rim sizes of 21" to 25".
