4.8 Salinity entry
Since salinity has an influence on the dissolved oxygen value, it is important to add the correct salinity
val ue. The meter can compensate salinity for measurements in solutions with salinity from 0 to 50 ppt.
The default value for salinity is 0.0 ppt, which can be changed by the following procedure:
a) Press and hold MODE/SETUP until the Setup icon appears on the display.
The unit for barometric pressure is displayed.
b) Press READ and the barometric pressure value is displayed.
c) Press READ again and the value for salinity is displayed.

4.9 Self­diagnosis
The meter is on.
Press and hold READ and CAL simultaneously until the meter displays the full screen.
Each icon blinks one after the other. You can check if all icons are displayed correctly.
The next step is to check that the keys are functioning correctly. This requires user interaction.
When blinks, five icons are displayed.
a) Press the five keys in any order.
Each time you press a key an icon disappears from the screen.
b) Continue to press the other keys until all the icons have disappeared.
When the self-diagnosis has been completed successfully, PAS appears.
