Necessary connections

The Compass MB only works with the water network pressure. DO NOT use "jerrycans" or other
water containers without pressure.
1 Water tap with a 3/8 nut (for water supply);
1 drain with a connection of at least 16/17 mm diameter
1 earth electricity mains with a 30 mA protection and a 3 mm disjuntor with 3 mm space between the
contacts

4. Installation and basic adjustments

4.1.

Location

Choose a dry place where the machine cannot come in direct contact water. Do not direct water
jets onto the equipment!
Choose a stable and leveled surface to place the machine on.
For a correct installation, that surface the machine is placed on must have a height of at least 800
mm above the floor level.
Install a water filter system
 The machine needs a surrounding temperature between 15-25ºC in order to funciton well.
4.2.

Unpacking

Before using the machine for the first time, remove all protective and packing material. Make sure the
machine is intact. Dispose of all packing material in a safe way. Clean the machine's exterior with a soft
humid cloth.
4.3.

Water Connection

1. Place the machine in a stable position on the counter, ideally already in the final working place
and position.
2. Place the external pump/ motor in an adequate place close to the machine. Connect the
pump/motor with the machine, using the water entry hose already installed on the machine.
3. Place a water filter system in an adequate place close to the machine. Use the connection
hoses supplied with the machine in order to connect the water filter system with the pump.
4. Connect the power cable of the motor/pump to the machine, following the instruction
provided with the pump. Only then connect the machine's power cable to the socket.
4.4.

Electric Instalallation

IMPORTANT: It is compulsatory that the electricity supply must be earthed. Only connect the
machine to an earthed mains supply.
Make sure that power and frequency of the electricity supply correspond with the requirements
of the machine, indicated on the machine's type plate.
The electricity supply must have a 30 mA protection with a disjunctor with 3 mm space between
the contacts.
Connect the machine to a mains supply. Never use sockets, multiple sockets or extensions with
the machine.
The electric installation must comply with current safety legislation in the country and location of
installation.
