ETTINGS IN THE
All settings are made in the SETUP menu, which you can
open using the SETUPkey. These settings relate to such
items as image format, sound settings and child
protection.
You move through the menus using the navigation
buttons. Confirm the selection with ENTER.
You return from a sub-menu to a higher one by
$ navigation key.
pressing the
! Press SETUP.
The main page of the SETUP menu appears on the
screen with the four menus:

– V I D E O Q U A L I T Y S E T U P
– P A S S W O R D S E T U P P A G E
– P R E F E R E N C E S P A G E
The active menu is highlighted.
You also press the SETUP key to close the Setup menu.

SPDIF Output

Here you can set the transfer of the data flow for the
digital output OPTICAL.
S P D I F / O f f : The digital output is switched off.
S P D I F / R A W : To output a digital 5.1 channel data
flow, e. g. to a final level with Dolby Digital decoder.
S P D I F / P C M :Standard sound format for audio CDs;
to output a stereo signal, e. g. on a minidisc recorder.
TV Display
Here you can set the device's display format to match
that of the screen or television.
N o r m a l / P S : Selection for televisions with a 4:3
format. The Pan Scan format displays 16:9 film formats
in full height; the side sections of the image are cut off.
N o r m a l / L B : Selection for televisions with a 4:3
format. The letterbox format reduces the 16:9 film
format to the size of the screen.

You can only select the
P R E F E R E N C E
P A G E menu when the
CD/DVD is stopped. If
necessary, press STOP
twice.
