2.4 Product description

The PROFI SC is a fully equipped control unit for rainwater harvesting systems. The unit
consists of an electrical control system, internal break tank with AB type air gap and an
integrated frequency-controlled booster pump set. The control unit monitors the water level
in the rainwater storage tank as well as in the internal break tank. Mains water is fed
demand orientated and according to BS EN 1717 AB type air gap into the internal break tank
in case of rainwater shortage, back-pressure water from the sewer (if back pressure
sensor is installed) or manual setting. The solenoid valve for the mains water back up
system is regularly opened to avoid stagnation in the mains water pipe. The volt-free
interface enables an external monitoring of malfunctions. The control unit shows
malfunctions with a visual and acoustic signal and reacts accordingly.

2.5 Control elements

The panel consist of a luminous display (green) with four rows and twenty characters.
The illumination of the display is switched of after ten minutes and the writing "energy
saving modus – press button please" is displayed. By pressing any button, the control
penal switches back to the display modus.
In display modus (illumination) the first row indicates the filling level of the storage tank (only
with optional filling level indicator). The second row indicates the effective pressure of the
booster pump. The third row displays the operation status. The forth row indicates the
status of the system.
