Plug the lead of the base into the mains.
Fill the kettle with water (min. 0.5. litres,
max. 1.8 litres) and place the kettle level on
the base in order to establish the contact with
the Dower connection,
The kettle disposes of two I/O switches:
a.
a silver I/O switch on top of the handle
for the kettle function with automatic
cutout
b.
a red I/O switch with integrated control
lamp for the samovar function (without
automatic cutout).
Switch on the kettle by pressing the silver I/O
key. The control lamp in the base will turn
on. If switched on by this switch, the
appliance is automatically switched off after
having reached the boiling Point.

Bring water to boil, but pour away water from
first boiling.

As soon as the water boils, the kettle is
automatically switched off and the control
lamD tums out.

However, boiling can be stopped by lifting the
kettle from the base. In this case, boiling will
be continued when the kettle is placed back
on the base.

Optionally you can switch off the appliance by
pressing the I/O key if you want to stop
boiling before the
automatic cutout ls
activated.

After an adequate cooling-off period the
water can once again be brought to boil by
pressing ON the switch.
Always disconnect the plug from the mains
before cleaning the kettle and base.
Base, cable and kettle must never be
immersed into water.
WiDe the kettle and base with a moist cloth
and a drop of washing-up liquid. Never use
an aggressive scouring or steel wool'
Cable and plug must be dried completely
before being used.
To clean the filter, empty the kettle and let it
cool down. Then pull the filter out of the
spout. Clean it with a soft brush or place it
for some time in a dish with descaler solution.
Then rinse it thoroughly with clear u/ater and
place it into the spout again.
Descale the keftle regularly, possibly once a
wee(
depending on the hardness of the
water and the frequenry of use. Scale
significantly
diminishes the
heating
oerformance of the kettle.
To descale fill half the kettle with a solution
of 2/3 water and 1/3 ordinary vinegar. Bring
to the boil and then leave it to stand
overnight. Next day pour away and fill the
kettle with fresh water and bring to the boil
again. This water must also be poured away.
Teapot, tea filter and lid can be cleaned in
warm water with a mild washing-up liquid.
