Calibrate and polarise the measuring probe each time after replacement or removal
for purposes such as topping up or changing the electrolyte.

11. Care and cleaning

Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as
these may damage the casing or stop the product from functioning properly.
• Aside from battery replacement, cleaning the measuring probe, replacing the membrane
cap and replacing depleted electrolyte, the product requires no maintenance. Do not take
the product apart except for performing the work described in these operating instructions.
• Clean the product carefully using a soft, clean cloth. Do not press too hard on the display;
this can lead not only to scratches but also to the destruction of the display.
• Only distilled (e.g. deionised) water may be used to clean the tips of the measuring probe,
otherwise the measured values may be affected. Use only paper towels to dab/dry the
measuring probe.
• Replace the electrolyte in the membrane cap if it turns yellow.
• Remove the depleted electrolyte and rinse the membrane cap with distilled water. To top up,
proceed as outlined in Section "c) Initial commissioning".
• Repeat calibration and repolarisation whenever the membrane cap has been removed and
screwed back on.
