Phone Book

The phone book can store 50 phone numbers, each with the associated name. A name can have a maximum of 12 letters. The
maximum length of a phone number is 20 digits.
8.1

Entering phone numbers in the phone book

1. To do this, press the C button three times.
2. Enter the relevant name and associated phone number. Confirm each respective entry by pressing the C button.

Refer to 8.1.2 to enter text.
Note:
If the name already exists in the phone book, an acoustic signal is issued and Add" appears in the display again. You
have to enter another name.
3. Select the required melody by pressing the D or E button and confirm the selection by pressing C.
The corresponding melody rings when a call is received from the caller entered. This assignment only functions when
your telephone connection and that of the caller implement the caller number display (CLIP function).

Information on the phone book

Always enter the area access code with the phone numbers so that the telephone can also assign incoming local
calls to a phone book entry.

If the memory capacity of 50 phone numbers is reached, the message MEMORY FULL" appears when an attempt is
made to store another number. Phone book entries will then have to be deleted in order create space.
8.1.2

Text entry

The digit keys are also labelled with letters for the entry of the respective letters. Pressing the respective key the necessary
number of times enables capital letters and digits to be entered.
Example: To enter the name Peter".
Press: 1 x button 7", 2 x button 3", 1 x button 8", 2 x button 3", 3 x button 7"

To enter a space, press the 1" button once, for a hyphen, press 1" twice.

To enter the same letter twice, press the relevant button until the letter appears then wait till the cursor automatically
skips one position forward.

Delete any incorrect entries with the A button.

Press the D or E button to move the cursor accordingly.
8.2

Editing entries in the phone book

1. Press the C button twice.
2. Press the E button to select the MODIFY ENTRY" option.
3. Press the C button to confirm the option and press the D or E button to select the required entry.
Note:
To select an entry directly, press the corresponding button to enter the first letter of the name required. To select the
name Peters" directly, for example, press the 7" button once.
4. Confirm by pressing the C button and modify the name, phone number and melody as necessary. Confirm each
respective modification by pressing the C button.
8.3

Deleting stored entries from the phone book

1. Press the C button twice.
2. Press the E button to select the DELETE ENTRY" option.
3. Press the C button to confirm the option and press the D or E button to select the required entry.
Note:
The deletion process is cancelled by pressing the H button.
4. Confirm deletion by pressing C twice.
