Things worth knowing about PostBase mailing systems with inserter link
– The optional Drop Stacker holds up to 250 letters (rec-
ommended).
– The connecting plate helps keeping the correct dis-
tance and alignment between the inserting system
and the mailing system (see page 14).
– Mailing systems with Dynamic Scale must be installed
on a firm base table.
– On systems with Dynamic Scale, the base tables of
the inserting system and the mailing system must not
touch to prevent the transmission of vibrations.
Suitable mail pieces
– Letters must be suited for mechanical inserting
(please refer to the operator manual of the inserting
system in use).
– ISO C6 cannot be processed.
Settings and operation
– On the PostBase, Inserter Mode must be active (see
page 10).
– Have the inserting system seal the letters, not the
PostBase.
– On the Ramp plus, employ the inserting guide instead
of the standard letter guide that comes with the stand-
ard scope of delivery. This ensures that the letters
coming from the side exit slide smoothly onto the
ramp of the Feeder plus.
– The press-down bar is not employed when using the
inserter link. Leave it in its upper retaining position.
– Recommended setting on the Ramp plus: adjustment
wheel: position 1 or 2.
– Depending on the inserting system, an empty enve-
lope may be ejected after changing the job. Perform a
test run before switching on the mailing system.
