Exhaust gas leadthrough

For the S 3004 / S 3004 P / S 5004, only the Truma stainless
steel exhaust duct AE 3 for S 3004 / S 3004 P or AE 5 or
S 5004 may be used with the Truma insulating duct ÜR or
ÜR 5, because the units are only type tested and certified in
connection with these pipes.

* Maximum 3 x cowl extensions of 15 cm each
If two or three extensions measuring 15 cm are used,
these must be removed before a journey so that they
are not lost (risk of accident). A remaining extension must be
screwed down tight and secured with a screw.
The use of a Biege-Boy (part no. 30030-33000) makes bending
the stainless steel pipe and attaching the o-ring easier.
Connect exhaust duct to heating
Slide the sealing plate (33 – claw points to the exhaust gas
branch on the heating) approx. 3 cm onto the exhaust gas
duct (37). Push on the pressure ring (36). Carefully guide the
O-ring (34) over the cutting edge of the duct by expanding
and push the exhaust duct into the exhaust gas branches as
far as it goes.
Push the O-ring, pressure ring and sealing plate onto the ex-
haust gas branch. Suspend the sealing plate (33) by turning
on the straps and tighten with the screw (35). Check the tight
fit of the exhaust duct.

A new O-ring (34) needs to be mounted after each
disassembly.
Slides the insulating duct (38) onto the exhaust duct (must
reach from the cowl to the back wall of the installation box).

duct (37) as far as it goes into the cowl and secure with the
plate screws (39 – 3.5 x 16).

The exhaust duct (37) with the insulating duct (38) must
incline upwards along the whole length and be fixed
and permanently mounted with several clips (40) otherwise
accumulations of water can form which prevent the free ex-
traction of exhaust gases.

Gas connection

Fig. A
The gas supply's operating pressure (30 mbar) must be the
same as the unit´s operating pressure (see type plate – 66).
The gas supply line must be connected with the cutting ring
screw connection on the nozzle (52), 8 mm outer diameter.
The gas connectors on the heating may not be
bent! Carefully hold against the connection nipple with
a wrench when tightening!
The pipes are to be laid so that the heating can be removed
again for service work.
Before connection to the heating ensure that the gas lines are
free of dirt, chippings and similar!
Liquid gas systems must comply with the technical and ad-
ministrative provisions of the respective country in which it
is used (e.g. EN 1949 for vehicles). National instructions and
regulations (e.g. worksheet DVGW worksheet G 607 in Ger-
many) must be considered.

Control panels / cover

Attach control panels

The position of the knob socket (50) for the control knob (51 –
gas) is determined by the installation of the heating (right or
left installation). The control panels for the fan can be installed
in available opening on the cover (62).
S 3004 P only
The Piezo push ignitor (18) must be mounted next to the con-
trol knob for gas.
Push the knob socket (50) for the control knob (51 – gas),
the Piezo push ignitor (18) if available and the control panel
(22 – for TEB-3 fan) into the recesses (pay attention to right or
left installation!). Plug the fan plug into the control panel.
