Outdoor unit

4.1 Installation

 It is advisable to install the outdoor unit close to a wall, on a
foundation separate from the building with a minimum
clearance of 0.3 m on the intake side (Fig. 4.1 + Fig. 4.2).
If a canopy is mounted to protect from direct sunlight, rain

or snow it must not impede the heat exchange of the de-
vice.
 In the case of a free-standing installation, the foundation is
to be connected on the intake side, flush with the device.
This will prevent snow from building up between the foun-
dation and the evaporator.
 The minimum clearances (Fig. 4.1) indicated must be ad-
hered to.
 When selecting an installation location, it should be en-
sured where possible that persons are not going to be in-
convenienced by the circulation of warm/cold air or by
noise emissions.
 The condensate tray offers various options for the conden-
sate drain. In warmer regions, the condensate can drain
from the device freely. In regions with longer periods of
frost, a controlled condensate drain is required.

Installation on wall brackets is not advisable, as this frequently
leads to noise problems.
If this type of installation is used, observe the following instruc-
tions:
 Fit rubber buffers
 Take the weight of the outdoor unit into account
 Ensure that the wall bracket is no higher than 1 m above
the ground
Ensure that minimum clearances are adhered to

