Initial commissioning

4.1

Installing ESI[tronic] 2.0

1. Close all running applications.
2. Insert the "ESI[tronic] 2.0" DVD A1 in the DVD drive.
3. Start "Windows Explorer".
4. Start 'D:\RBSETUP.EXE' (D = DVD drive letter).
 Setup will start.
5. Read and follow the instructions on the screen.

If installing without I-Key, the components (e.g.
types of info) must be selected manually.

If there is no PDF reader on the PC/laptop, install
Adobe Acrobat Reader. The PDF reader is required
for displaying the
KTS Truck
protocols on the PC/laptop.
6. Connect KTS Truck to a PC/Laptop via the USB
connecting cable.
7. Select the option Yes, KTS Truck is connected via
USB.

The message "New hardware found" appears on the
screen for a few seconds on connecting KTS Truck
by way of the USB connecting cable. This indicates
that the USB connection to the KTS Truck has been
recognized.
8. Press <Continue> to proceed with installation.

Following installation a check is made as to whe-
ther the firmware on KTS Truck is up-to-date. If the
KTS Truck firmware is not the latest version it will be
automatically updated.

Firmware updates must always be performed using
the USB connecting cable (not by way of Bluetooth).
If the firmware update fails, the firmware update
must be repeated. In ESI[tronic] 2.0, select the but-
ton <Update firmware> under "Hardware settings
>> KTS Truck".

ESI[tronic] 2.0 has been installed.

After installing ESI[tronic] 2.0, the user is requested
to insert the "ESI[tronic] DVD B1 Diagnosis, main-
tenance, replacement parts". ESI[tronic] installa-
tion and ESI[tronic] release are described on the
"ESI[tronic] DVD A1 Diagnosis and technology" in
the directory 'DOCS\SETUP\SETUP_DE.PDF'.
