5 Commissioning

5 Commissioning
Before commissioning, the proper seat of all
jumpers must be ensured. For commission-
ing, proceed as follows:
1 Remove the isolating strips between the
holder and the battery, and check to see if
the battery is properly inserted in the bat-
tery holder. If not, insert a battery accord-
ing to the instructions in section 4.1.
2 Insert the KE310 in the card rack or sys-
tem box.
3 If applicable, insert the SMxxx interface
modules in the KE310.
4 Close off slots that are not occupied with
interface modules (X14, X15, X16) using
dummy panels (see section 5.5).
5 Turn on the voltage supply for the card
rack or system box.
6 Connect the operating computer and set
the time with the BS300 system.
7 Configure the interfaces and program the
tightening system.

Display elements

Two LEDs are installed on the front panel of
the communication unit which indicate the
operating states. The restart button causes a
warm start of the communication unit.
