With 2x 3/2 directional valves, both sides can be activated simultaneously.
The manual override will be damaged if it is operated improperly.
O Exercise care and caution when actuating the manual override.
O Observe the following information for operation.
Operating the red control button
Tapping (self-resetting)
1. Press the control button downwards.
The valve switches.
2. When you release the control button, it will automatically reset to the Push
position.
The valve then also switches back to the home position or locks in the desired
position, depending on its design.
Commissioning IO-Link and the fieldbus connection
IO-Link
For the IO-Link interface to correctly exchange data from the valve system with the
PLC, the IO-Link master must be able to detect the IO-Link device. For this purpose,
the electrical component must be configured in the IO-Link master.
Configuration error
An incorrect IO-Link system configuration can cause malfunctions in and damage
to the overall system.
O The configuration may only be carried out by qualified personnel.
O Observe the specifications of the system owner as well as any restrictions
resulting from the overall system.
O Observe the documentation of your configuration program.
Loading device master data
The IODD files for the IO-Link interface with English and German language
content are located on the CD R412018133.
If you use a version V1.0.1 IO-Link master, you must use the file " ...IODD1.0.1.xml";
for a version V1.1 master, the file named " ...IODD1.1.xml" must be used. The files can
also be downloaded online from the AVENTICS Media Center.
O To configure the valve system IO-Link, copy the IODD data files on
CD R412018133 to the computer containing the configuration program.
Depending on the control system, a special configuration program is used. You can
work with the IODD file, but you can also easily configure the system as an output
module with 3-byte outputs. Many IO-Link master controls provide for simple
configurations by default. This enables simple, fast commissioning.
Process data
Incorrect data assignment
Danger caused by uncontrolled movement of the system.
O Check the assignment of the bits before applying compressed air to the
system.
The IO-Link interface receives output data from the controller with set points for the
position of the valve solenoid coils. The IO-Link interface translates this data into the
voltage required to actuate the valves. The length of the output data is three bytes.
The assignment of valve solenoid coils to bits is as follows:

Commissioning the valve system with IO-Link
Before commissioning the system, the following steps must have been carried out
and completed:
W
You have assembled the valve system with IO-Link interface.
W
You have connected the IO-Link interface to the IO-Link master.

Assembly and commissioning may only be carried out by qualified electrical
or pneumatic personnel or an instructed person under the direction and
supervision of qualified personnel.
Risk of uncontrolled movements when switching on the system
There is a danger of personal injury if the system is in an undefined state.
O Put the system in a safe state before switching it on.
O Make sure that no personnel are within the hazardous zone when the
compressed air supply is switched on.
1. Switch on the operating voltage.
On start-up, the IO-Link master sends parameters and configuration data to the
IO-Link interface.
Before applying the working pressure, the diagnostic LED may only be illuminated in
green, as described in the following table:
Designation
Color
DIAG
Green Flashing/
If the diagnostic run is successful, you may commission the valve system. Otherwise,
the errors must be remedied.
2. Send payload data to the IO-Link interface.
The valve coils and thus the corresponding LEDs are not actively actuated until
the data has been set to valid by the IO-Link master.
3. Switch on the compressed air supply.
Event handling
The IO-Link interface reports insufficient or missing UA valve supply voltage to the
IO-Link master as a "low sensor voltage" event (0x5112).
Fieldbus connection in the AES system
Load the general station description.
The configuration files for the corresponding bus couplers can be found on
the CD R412018133.
Readying the PLC configuration keys
In the AES bus coupler configuration, ES05 is entered as valve driver (24DO-ES05).
In the control it occupies 3 bytes for the 24 outputs.
Configuring the bus coupler in the fieldbus system
Before you can configure the valve system, you need to configure the bus coupler as
a slave in the fieldbus system using your PLC configuration software.
For more information, refer to the system description for the corresponding bus
coupler.
Setting the bus coupler parameters
The ES05 valve driver module does not have any parameters.
Structure of the Valve Driver Data
The valve driver board receives output data from the controller with nominal values
for the position of the valve solenoid coils. The valve driver translates this data into
the voltage required to actuate the valves. The length of the output data is three
bytes.
The assignment of valve solenoid coils to bits is as follows:

Diagnostic data
The diagnostic message consists of a diagnostic bit, which is set in the event of a
short circuit of an output (group diagnostics).
The diagnostic bit can be read as follows:
W
W bit = 1: An error has occurred.
W
W bit = 0: No error has occurred.
