Noise data

The noise data* also refers to the aforementioned directive. Casing variations, unfavourable operating conditions and
many other things can lead to an increase in the specified catalogue values. Data that refers to certain distances (1 m,
2 m, 4 m) apply to free field conditions. With regard to installation, the sound pressure level can differ significantly from
the catalogue data, e.g. sound pressure level at 4 m, as it is highly dependent on the installation conditions, i.e. on the
absorption capability of the room, the room size among other factors.

The smoke exhaust roof fan is a directly-driven fan whereby an IEC three-phase motor is located outside of the air flow
in a motor capsule. In case of ventilation and fire (note minimum speed), the ventilation of the motor capsule is auto-
matic. The air flow direction is blowing over the motor. The flow pattern allows low-loss, straight air flow and ensures
high fan efficiency.
The centrifugal impeller with eight spatially curved blades is made from powder-coated sheet steel. The dynamic ba-
lancing takes place according to DIN ISO 21940 pt. 11, balance quality G 6.3.
Automatic outside air intake via integrated cooling air duct for maximum cooling of the drive motor in smoke extraction
mode (note minimum speed). Base plate with inlet nozzle for direct placement on flat roof base, type B FDS. Factory-
mounted threaded bolts for simple mounting of intake-side accessories. Discharge-side aluminium protection guard.
Standard transport lugs for transportation and positioning. Prepared threaded bolts on the motor support plate for
mounting of discharge-side accessories (e.g. deflector, type B DEF or roof fan attenuator, type B HSDV).
Closable inspection opening in housing as rotational direction inspection opening during commissioning. Lugs as
anchor points on fan housing for on-site anchoring device for protection in case of high wind load as standard from
fan size 560. Modular housing construction for easy access and minimal maintenance cost. Snow load class SL 0,
and a deflector (accessories) must be used for snow load class SL 3000. Housing made of seawater-resistant alumi-
nium. Base plate with inlet nozzle, motor mount and motor capsule made from powder-coated sheet steel in colour
RAL 7015 (slate grey) and corrosion protection class C2. Directly-driven high-performance centrifugal impeller with
backward curved blades, one-way suction. Version made of powder-coated sheet steel. Vibration-free running due to
dynamic balancing according to quality class G 6.3.
Efficient IE3 smoke exhaust motor for use at high ambient temperatures. The motor is located outside of the air flow
in an automatically ventilated motor capsule. Protection class IP55. Motor winding in insulation class F. Standard PTC
thermistor as motor protection for ventilation mode (motor protection devices must be automatically put out of ope-
ration for max. operating period) led out to isolator switch. Drive motor adapted to operation with frequency inverter.
Accessories:
Flat roof base B FDS:
− For mounting smoke exhaust roof fans in temperature classes F400 and F600.
− Horizontal installation on flat roofs.
− Versions with size 300 mm and 500 mm available.
− Made of stainless steel, weatherproof and stable. Powder-coated surface in RAL 7015,
corrosion protection class C2.
− With 125 mm wide circumferential adhesive rim incl. drill holes for simple installation.
− Four threaded bolts for mounting roof fan.
− 40 mm thick abrasion-resistant sound and heat insulation made of fire-resistant, elastic
rock wool. Insulation material lined with perforated sheet.
