Einstellung der
Druckkopfabstützung
In den Druckern der A-Serie wird das Etikettenmaterial stets
bündig zu den an der Montagewand angebrachten Papieran-
schlägen geführt.
Dadurch ist es beim Bedrucken schmalerer Etiketten (Breite
< ca. 60 mm) möglich, dass der Druckkopf (1, Bild 37) im
äußeren Bereich, in dem kein Material liegt, direkt mit der
Druckwalze in Kontakt kommt.
Das führt einerseits zu vorzeitigem Verschleiß des Druck-
kopfs durch Abrieb. Andererseits liegt der Druckkopf nicht
mehr plan auf dem Etikett auf.
Das dokumentiert sich in Unterschieden in der Druck-
intensität zwischen beiden Etikettenrändern.
Daher ist bei der Verwendung schmaler Etiketten die
Druckkopfabstützung (2, Bild 37) zu aktivieren.
Diese Justage kann während des Druckvorgangs wie folgt
vorgenommen werden:
1. Die momentane Stellung der Druckkopfabstützung (2,
Bild 37) ist an der Skala am Langloch (4, Bild 37)
ablesbar.
Die Ziffern an der Skala sind zu Ihrer persönlichen
Orientierung angebracht und nicht als exakte Referenz
für bestimmte Etikettenbreiten anzusehen.

4. Open and close the printhead after each adjustment

5. Tighten the locking screw (1) (by hand).
6. Make a test print (e.g. black bars over the entire
printing width).
7. Repeat work steps 1 to 5 cyclically until the printed
image has been optimized.

Setting the printhead
support
In A series printers, the label stock is always fed flush to the
paper stops attached to the mounting wall.
When printing narrow labels (width < ca. 60 mm) it is
therefore possible that the printhead (1, figure 37) comes
into contact with the print roller in the outer area where
there is no media.
On the one hand, this leads to premature abrasive wear on
the printhead. On the other hand, the printhead no longer
lies flat on the label.
This is manifested by the print density varying from one
label edge to the other.
The printhead support (2, figure 37) must therefore be
enabled when using narrow labels.
This adjustment can be made during the printing process as
follows:
1. The current position of the printhead support (2, figure
37) can be read off the scale along the elongated hole
(4, figure 37).
The values on the scale are for your personal reference
only and are not intended to be exact settings for
specific media widths.
