6. If you want to add a new user, in the Users panel, click Add and
fill in the username and password. Note that usernames must
be unique, a maximum of 32 characters and can include letters,
numbers, dots (.) and underscores (_). Also, both the username
and password are case-sensitive. By default, the new user will
have both read and write access to the share. If you want the
new user to have only read access, simply uncheck the box next
to "Allow user to write and delete files."
Note: You can have a maximum of 32 unique usernames on a single FS array,
not counting the admin user. There are three types of special users:
1. Admin: Access to all users on the FS array and all administrative
controls. Cannot be removed from any share. Note that only the
administrator can change the password of a user.
2. All Users: Includes all users who have already been set up on the FS
array.
3. Everyone: Anyone who has access to the FS array over the network,
whether or not the name has been entered in Drobo Dashboard.
You can edit and delete shares and users in this screen. Note that
deleting a share erases all data on that share. Drobo Dashboard will
display a warning prior to deletion.
Time Machine – Mac OS X
Mac OS X users can create a dedicated share to be used for Time
Machine on both Drobo FS and DroboPro FS. This makes it easy for you
to backup your Mac to your FS array using Apple's Time Machine utility.
In the Shares tab, when you click the "+" in the Shares panel, you will
