4.2.9 Rough Pump and Forepump Oil Level Check (Oil-sealed Mechanical Pumps)

Both the Rough pump and Forepump are equipped with an oil level sight glass that can be
viewed when the front lower panel cover is removed (Figure 4-12). Refer to your pump
manual for the proper oil level. If it is low, fill it to the proper level with Varian Vacuum
Technologies' pump oil (part no. 695409005).
