• In most cases, crusty food is tastier due to the special flavour of roasting. There-
fore, you should set the allocated control dial to high temperature. Reduce the
temperature, when your food gets too dark or burnt.
• When changing the temperature of a grilling area, in most cases, the cooking
time should be adapted accordingly. Additionally, the consistency of your food
after cooking may vary. In general, with higher temperature settings, your food
will be somewhat more crispy and crusty. However, when selecting too high
temperature values, your food may get too dark or even burn, while the interior
is still raw. This holds especially for delicate food (e.g. some vegetables, fruit,
seafood).
• Some types of food (e.g. some vegetables or fruit) will be better with only short
grilling time and a comparatively high temperature setting. With this method, the
surface gets caramelized, while the interior is still crispy and juicy.

BEFORE FIRST USE

"0", then switch the power switch to „O"), unplug, and leave the appliance cool
down, before moving or cleaning the appliance and before removing any parts
of the appliance. Do not immerse the housing, or power cord in water or other
liquids or spill any liquids on the housing or power cord. Do not place the hou-
sing, drawer, or power cord in an automatic dishwasher. Do not use any abra-
sive or corrosive cleaners or hard, abrasive cleaning utilities for cleaning (e.g. any
type of grill cleaners, pot cleaning pads).
1. Unpack the appliance and all accessories carefully. Check that no parts are
damaged or missing (see: 'Knowing Your New Table-Top Grill').
2. Remove all shipping materials and promotional materials. However, DO NOT
remove the model label at the bottom of the housing.
3. Before first use and after a longer period of storage, clean the appliance and
its parts (see: 'Care and Cleaning').
4. Before the very first use: to prepare the heating elements for use, heat the appli-
ance for approx. 10 minutes without any food (see below: 'First Heating').
